The very best of city region businesses and professionals were celebrated at the Liverpool & Sefton Chambers’ Annual Dinner, sponsored by HSBC Commercial Banking.
Inciner8, Quality Solicitors Jackson Canter and Infrared Training’s Chris Roberts were recognised for their excellence in categories synonymous with the Chamber ethos; exporting, high growth and young talent.
Set in the iconic surroundings of the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, sponsors Liverpool John Lennon Airport, SP Energy Networks and City Car Club presented the awards to an audience of nearly 600 guests, in an event which inspired, recognised and championed the distinguished Chamber network.
Commenting on the awards, Jenny Stewart, CEO of Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce said:
“Year after year, I am blown away by the extraordinary success of Chamber businesses. Their spirit of enterprise and relentless commitment are what drive our economy so it’s an honour that so many of them could join us on the night. It’s events like this that epitomise the power and economic significance of the city region’s wealth creators and the success that we can achieve together as a Chamber network.
Tonight, we celebrated the innovators, the creators and the disrupters and we were delighted to applaud the successes of the winners and also the well deserved shortlist.”
Barry Millar, Area Director at HSBC Commercial Banking, Headline Sponsors said:
“Tonight’s dinner was a fantastic evening that showcased the talent of business owners and professionals in the city, which creates a genuine excitement for the future of businesses in Liverpool.”
Apprentices Jessica Bennett (BWMacfarlane) and John McGuiness (A Algeos) were well deserved shortlisters for the Aspire Award.
The evening culminated in four spine tingling pitches by Bright Sparks; Autism Adventures UK Ltd, Just Super Juices, Klick Creative Ltd and Pudology in their bold attempt to secure £5,000 worth of funding for their growing business.
Guests at the dinner texted their choice of favourite after the panel of leading business experts provided their feedback to each contestant’s two minute pitches.
Autism Adventures Ltd were named winners of the audience vote, however, in a shock twist, Just Super Juices, Klick Creative Ltd and Pudology were also awarded £500 each in a “Voice-esque” pitching show-down.
The grand total of £7000 courtesy of Ignite sponsors NatWest Bank, was a testament to the vision, passion and determination of all four pitching businesses.
Funds raised by guests on the night were donated to the Dinner’s official charity partner, Everton in the Community, and will help support the most underprivileged members of society through education, training opportunities and physical activity.
Supporters of the dinner included Simpson Millar LLP, Liverpool Football Club, Credit Management Group UK & UKTI.
